Ice Wine Cocktail FUNDRAISER.

It was a magical evening;
Lindsay and John Barfitt's beautiful, spacious home was the perfect setting for 150 people who attended the Ice Wine Cocktail fundraiser.
Even the weather cooperated and we could not have asked for a finer evening as guests spilled out into the garden. Harley, the Barfitt's landseer dog, was interviewed by Cogeco TV and he coped with the interview extremely well. He was the inspiration for the evening's black and white theme.
Two huge dining tables were laden with elegant appetizers donated by more than 22 restaurants in the region, as well as 2 ice wine martini bars and a wine bar, the wines and ice wines also donated by wineries in the area. These helped keep the attendees thirst at bay. There was even a Gelato Cart set up under the stars in the garden; who could ask for anything more?
The final numbers are not yet tallied but a rough guess would be that between $9000 - $10,000 was raised, which will be split between Hospice Niagara, St Catharines and the Niagara on the lake community Palliative Care in town.
A huge thank you to Lindsay and John, our most gracious hosts and a thank you to all the committee members who worked so hard to make the evening such an immense success.
