World Immunization Week — 24-30 April— is a perfect opportunity to raise awareness about the fact that vaccines work and give as proof examples of what Rotary and our partners have accomplished in reducing polio cases worldwide.
In 2024, we're celebrating...
10 years since the World Health Organization (WHO) South-East Asia Region was certified free of polio
30 years since the WHO Americas Region was certified as polio-free
50 years since the launch of the Expanded Programme on Immunization, which ensures equitable access to vaccines (including polio vaccines)
President Joanne Serkeyn welcomed 14 Lincoln Rotarians and called on Pod #1 member, Lindsay Dressel, to open the meeting with the Land Acknowledgment.
Paul Roth followed with his word of thanks for our club and all the work that we do as well as the safe return of Alice, Sue & Margaret from Guatemala. He invited a toast to Rotary International, the King, and all of us.
For her Point of Pride (POP), Joanne shared that she and a small group of fellow Rotarians had recently attended a human trafficking symposium in Buffalo. Her pride rested with the individuals who shared their stories featuring their experiences as victims and survivors. Joanne encourages Lincoln Rotarians to register for District Conference (April 27, 2024) where Barbara Lustgarten Evoy, Chair, Rotary Action Group Against Slavery (RAGAS). Barbara is a member of RC of Fergus. Trafficking in Ontario has increased by 67% and Barbara will provide an update on what our District is doing to address this issue.

Club Runner 101 with Lincoln Rotarian Lindsay Dressel
Lindsay opened by explaining that ClubRunner is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The software was created by a Rotarian in Mississauga who, now with the assistance of his daughter, continues to support and make improvements to the platform. It serves 127 Rotary districts and 9,600 clubs worldwide. Go to ClubRunner Support & Knowledge Base to get a true sense of the rich power of this online space for Rotarians.
Using a PowerPoint presentation featuring several screenshots, Lindsay proceeded with her tutorial highlighting the following:

How to access and change your Member Profile information
How to access the Club Directory
How to view/download Club Documents
How to use send emails through ClubRunner
How to create My Rotary account on the Rotary International (rotary.org) website
Lindsay emphasized that creating your My Rotary account allows you to gain maximum use of the Rotary International website. With this account, each Rotarian can view their Rotary profile, Club profile, District 7090 profile, check your contributions to the Rotary Foundation & much more…
She concluded by pointing everyone to the Rotary Club of Lincoln website as the ‘one place to look’ for information about our club. She recognized Sue Foster for her tireless effort to maintain the website and keep it current.
