PROGRAM
Topic: West Niagara Secondary School (WNSS)
Guest Speaker: Mat Miller, Principal

Rob Foster introduced Mat with special commendation for bringing together 1600 secondary students living in Grimsby, Lincoln & West Lincoln. He explained that to do this Mat masterfully quarterbacked the amalgamation of three District School Board of Niagara high schools - one in each of the three municipalities.

West Niagara Secondary School welcomed students at its brand new facility located at 5699 King Street, Lincoln, on September 5, 2023. It is the largest school in Niagara with state of the art & accessible learning spaces & equipment including:
  • Two Double Gyms
  • Artificial Turf Field & 8-Lane Rubberized Track
  • Modern Classrooms - all with natural light except one
  • Student-Run Cafeteria
  • Vibrant School Library
  • Greenhouse
Construction of the adjoining 750-seat performing arts theatre has yet to be completed. A public fundraising campaign is currently underway to raise $2.6 million of the total $6.8 million afforded for the theatre. For full details on opportunities for donors to support the campaign, click here

A Glimpse of WNSS

In closing, Mat reminded us that "teenagers are all our responsibility and they're great".

He also encouraged everyone to Follow WNSS on Social Media
