Clay Hollister - July 15th, 2013 Presentation

Please join us on Monday's (July 15th, 2013) program. Clay Hollister (former president of the Jaffrey/Ridge Rotary) was managing director of FEMA at the time of the Oklahoma City's Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing. Clay has a Powerpoint presentation.

Food donations... Please bring a food donation to our meeting for the Food Pantry.

25,000 people in the world die each day from hunger. One in eleven people in New Hampshire are food insecure and don't know when they will have their next meal. To illustrate how fortunate we are to have a healthy substantial lunch, and to better understand the challenges of those less fortunate who survive on only the basic staples, eight members at our July 8 meeting ate rice for lunch. Fine master Jeff King felt everyone should share in this sacrifice.  If you did not draw the "rice bowl" card and give up your lunch last week, you are requested to bring in one item (or more) this week for our local food pantry. Would our fine master fine anyone who forgets a food product?

The Peterborough Food Pantry is located at the Peterborough Community Center, 25 Elm Street, Peterborough.  Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9-12.   We are a NH Food Bank approved agency.  We provide food for more than 300 families per month who come to us from the greater Peterborough area. No one is turned away.
