New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association

On September 16th, 2013, Richard Oedel, Chairman of the New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association addressed the Rotary Club of Nashua. Furniture Masters Association was formed in 1993 with 27 members. The mission of the organization was to increase exposure of fine furniture making, expand the crafts visibility and guarantee the continued existence of fine furniture making here in New England.
Since most members work in solitary shops, the association also provides an opportunity for members to discuss their trade. The organization also provides mentors for young graduates, educational outreach and programs teaching furniture making to inmates in the New Hampshire correctional system.
A number of fund raising and gallery events are planned throughout the year for the Association. September 26th at the New Hampshire Historical Society and October 27 at Wentworth by the Sea are upcoming events. All activities are listed at www.furnituremasters.org.
