- Melissa spoke about what is “out” with design currently
- White kitchens and gray tones are out, we are moving into a time of more color and/or ‘off-white’
- Natural wood is coming back
- Very light tones of maple and oak are popular cabinet choices
- Still no yellow oak J
- Cut against the grain to reduce the visibility of the 90s looking grain wood look
- Off-white cabinets are very versatile and still neutral
- Deep saturated tones of kitchen cabinets are in with high gloss and flat panels
- Putting words on your walls is ‘out’ àex. ‘live laugh love’
- Shiplap and farmhouse looks are coming to end
- Saturated tones are much more in
- Warm yellows, terracotta, etc
- Pattern and texture are very in
- Wallpaper is BACK
- Window blinds are out but woven wood blinds are in
- Flooring: white oak is the most popular, luxury vinyl tile is very popular as well
- Rotarians participated in a fabric/color sample matching activity
