Wednesday May 7th was a delightfully sunny day and perfect for a barbeque! Seniors from all over the Souhegan Valley joined Milford Rotarians for the annual Senior Citizens' Chicken Barbeque. Rotarians grilled up their famous barbecued birds with the "very secret sauce". A well received variation this year was the delicious "homemade" side dishes prepared by our friends at Yankee Chef. Per tradition, dessert included those sinfully good brownies from Frederick's Pastries along with that ol' New England favorite - Hoodsie Cups. Lovely vocal and musical entertainment was provided by Milford High students  and Lesli Rendell's team of Souhegan High freshmen did a fantastic job serving and cleaning-up. Many thanks to Bedford Fields, The House By The Side Of The Road, Shaw's of Milford, Dunkin Donuts, and Moulton's Market for their wonderful raffle prize donations! Most importantly the seniors in attendance had a wonderful lunch and social gathering filled with Rotary style fellowship.  Bravo to the event organizers Jane Lyttle and May Balsama.
