The Masters and The British Open may have been canceled this year, but a premier Rotary sponsored golf tournament is rolling forward – the 26th annual Milford Rotary 100 Holes Of Golf In One Day Tournament.

We are not unmindful of the fact that, at this writing, the country, and the world, is in the midst of a horrifying pandemic and that our country is in the throes of an economic upheaval. This is precisely why we have chosen to roll forward and why we are reaching out for your help. Milford Rotarians are in this for the long haul!

In spite and in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Milford Rotary Club has chosen to carry-on with the 100 Holes of Golf Tournament.  Each year this event raises considerable funds that are distributed to local, regional and international community and non-profit organizations, and are used to provide $30,000 in scholarships to area students. In just the past two decades, the Milford Rotary Club has donated well over $1,200,000.00 in charitable grants and scholarships. Over two-thirds of that sum has been raised by the 100 Holes of Golf In One Day Tournament.

Given the tremendous impact that the Covid-19 crisis is having on all of our hometowns, we anticipate that community needs for assistance will be far greater in the coming year than ever before. And we expect to be called on to do more – perhaps at unprecedented levels to help meet needs directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Proceeds from the 100 Holes Tournament will help us meet our commitment to the communities we serve and will support COVID-19 relief efforts. The Rotary motto is "Service Above Self" and  the Milford Rotary Club is committed to meeting this challenge, but we need your help and the help of other civic-minded residents and businesses.

For now we are still on for June 26, 2020 at the Amherst Country Club.  If possible, we want to take advantage of the longer daylight and cooler weather of early summer. Precautions will be taken to keep golfers and volunteers safe. We are monitoring directives from Governor Sununu and will re-evaluate the plans at the end of April, but this tournament will still take place in some manner shape or form this year. And the raffle will still occur!!
