The Meredith Rotary Club held its annual Changing of the Guard on June 24, 2026, recognizing outgoing President Jim McFarlin for a year of meaningful service and welcoming Bonnie Ireland as the club's incoming president.
Our Projects
The Meredith Rotary Club is committed to making a lasting impact in the Lakes Region through a combination of fundraising, volunteer service, and long-term community partnerships.
Our largest fundraising effort, the Great Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby, has supported local causes for decades. Proceeds from the Derby and other club initiatives are reinvested directly into the community, helping fund programs that address real and evolving needs.
Education and Youth Development
We provide scholarships to students in the Inter-Lakes and Moultonborough communities, supporting both traditional and non-traditional paths to higher education. We also support youth leadership through Interact and Rotary Youth Exchange, offering both short-term and long-term opportunities for students to grow, travel, and gain new perspectives.
Community Support
We contribute to organizations that address food insecurity, senior services, and essential community needs. These partnerships help ensure that individuals and families in our region have access to support and resources when they need them most.
Environmental Stewardship
Through initiatives such as Meredith Bay clean-up efforts and community recycling programs, including Styrofoam collection events, we work to protect and preserve the natural environment that defines the Lakes Region.
Volunteer Service
Beyond financial contributions, our members actively volunteer their time. From organizing large-scale events to supporting local projects, hands-on service remains a core part of our impact.
Local Partnerships

At its June 3, 2026 Award Night, the Meredith Rotary Club presented the Community Service Award to Eliza Leadbeater and named Dean Gulezian its Rotarian of the Year, recognizing two individuals whose contributions to the community and to the club run deep.
The Meredith Rotary Club presented a $4,000 donation to the Circle Program, a Lakes Region nonprofit serving girls ages 9 to 18, to fund two summer camp scholarships for girls who would otherwise not have access to the program.
