Updates on the status of the Covid-19 Global Grant. Funds made available from Global Grant funds. This one happened in record time. Positive impact on our local economy. Gary greased the wheels to provide COVID-19 relief in our communities.  Fire Depts indicated they needed equipment and supplies to rehab. their equipment and supplies

 

Grant Formula to be etched in stone – amount of match we will receive at the District level is yet to be determined. We’re asking for $30k. If we receive the typical match, we’ll need to come up with between $8k or $20k. Impact all four communities within our area.

Kudos to Kevin and Gary. A lot of great pieces came together.

 

 

Teresa update on food distribution. [T- you’ve got to tell me more! B.]

We’re “on” for 5/21 to run food from the doors out to the cars. Food is provided by Ellacoya Bar and Grill.

 

Mask Up Event – this weekend. We anticipate a good turnout. Police Dept will handle traffic control.  Not a lot of heavy lifting. Alex Ray still has about 60,000 to give away. If donations are given, we’ll figure it out. Alex and Steve Rand raised $6,000 + in Plymouth.  Donations on the website will come to us.

 

Community Center.  Virtual Gala and fundraiser. 60 Rotary Clubs take place the end of the month.  Each Club will prepare a “Go Fund Me” page. NH and VT Governors will participate; funds will go to a charity each local club chooses.  Ted came up with a win-win idea to purchase Hart’s gift cards to be given to Nurses, our First Responders. TMI [Kevin, fill this IN!] Music and dances with theme of “Stayin’ Alive”.

 

COOLERS:

Goal 50; 25 received so far. 10 delivered to families.  Delivering 6 days a week to over 100 families.  Coolers needed to deliver to families when they are not home.  Running through June 30^th. Coolers will stay with the families – who will receive Got Lunch over the summer.

Rick Goodby  introduced Jasmine but first – Holly and Laura from ILHS: “We appreciate your efforts.”

Interact Club President Jasmine Morrissette, delivered her Four Way Test speech.  She is a strong leader and has served as Interact President for the past two years She will attend Life Pacific University online.

Is it Fair to all concerned: In nature, you can be who you are and you want to be.

Will it Build good build good will and better friendships: Peaceful activities

Will it be benefit to all concerned: Take the many things that are so positive and build your spirit and not to be distracted; stretch you as a person.

 

The Club is pleased to present Jasmine with an $250 honorarium.

 

Dean shared that our Exchange Student from student in Sweden sent her best regards to everyone.
