Ron: Center Harbor Cemetery Fence Project, 3rd phase will be Tuesday, September 10. Contact Ron and Gary

Bonnie: The boat tour is next Wednesday, September 11. Please be there at 4:45 pm for those who signed up.

Get ready because Saturday, October 12, is our Winnie Lake Cleanup day! We're looking for volunteers to Sign Up and positively impact our community.

GMP kayak raffle drawing will be held on Friday at 6 pm at the Community Park Dance Event.

Dean: We have a special request. We need one host family (for two students) for the Youth Exchange. It's a great opportunity to make a difference in these students' lives. Please consider hosting them for Columbus Day Weekend.

Erin A: Our Library Card Signup cards are a huge success. Meredith won last year for most signups and renewals throughout the state.

Fred: Historical Society started in Meredith Old Home Days committee. We were looking for a volunteer.

Program Presentation

Carl, Loon Center - Shed Project

John Columbus asked Carl about any projects we could do. Carl thought, what can we build or do? One of the major problems is that the Loon Center has a storage issue. On the proposal, upstairs is lodging and all storage is below. He would love for Rotary to construct a storage building (in a small area due to wetlands and brooks). Carl and John visited the site and answered the Loon Center board's questions.

The A 10x16 "shed" would help with their storage needs and be a beautiful piece of art. Due to building supplies, this shed will be maintenance-free using premium quality building supplies.

Ideally, Carl would like to begin building in October.

Major projects were committed, and the board approved the proposal to spend at most $20,000.

This will be a significant projects project where our club can take part in constructing this new storage "shed."

Heidi moved to pass, and Jim M. seconded. The club passed the motion as our primary project this year, supporting our community.
