Christmas card for Art Clough circulated. Gary is working with RI to triple our $5,000 donation in memory of Dell and to have it memorialized on a plaque and given to Art.

 

John Sherman passed down a book with the history of the Club back to 1928; the library has the ability to scan the history as a result we are looking to find an historian. Jim McFarlin offered to scan the document. (Pat will be happy about that)

BOD reported the following contributions: Squam Lakes Natural Science Center $500 – plus Derby fish; Circle Program - $250; Interlakes Community Caregivers - $250; Food Pantry $1,000.

 

Heidi announced that book gifts will be given to the school library for each speaker.

Jim McFarlin gave an update on gathering veterans’ names; MVSB will be giving a second $25,000 grant for the Veterans Memorial

 

Rotary Foundation update – once you have donated $1,000 – you are given a Paul Harris award. Another way is “recognition points”. Chuck Thorndike was awarded Paul Harris plus 5 – with recognition points - for his outstanding civic and national service.

On this December 7^th - Ed Touhey in honor of the fallen and their families. Jim McFarlin big bucks for Frog Rock reopening. Ray Moritz thankfully COVID free; Karen Thorndike – thank you to Gary for presenting the award to Chuck; Chuck and Tim also in honor of the Fallen;  Tiffany - Thanks to the donors to Children’s auction; Ginny – her grandson went to Ancestry; sent the family into a tizzy, and she found she and her sister are French. Kevin shout out to the many folks including multiple Rotarians who supported the VNA during tough times.  Fred Strader for Tim who walked the library grounds for next year’s planning. Carl received many thanks from recipients of the Christmas dinner and for Frog Rock opening. Gary for Chuck and Karen for introducing him to Meredith.  John Moulton – Betsey and Mike were recognized at the Chamber Annual Meeting this morning for all they do for the community.
