President Fred called the meeting to order at 6 PM.
 
President Fred led us in the pledge, and Dan led us in prayer for a successful derby.

Announcements

Jim Sherman, John's son, thanked us for our invitation. A close friend donated $500 in John’s memory and asked that it go towards a conservation or environmental effort.

The next NH HB720 bill Hearing is on Wednesday, Feb 12, @ 11:00 am in Legislative Office Building 307 in Concord. Please show up to oppose it.
 
 
If it passes, we won't be able to have a derby. Please get in touch with your legislators about it.

Our Membership Chair, Jim McFarlin, says our goal is to increase membership by 10 over last year. Please ask friends and neighbors to join you and see Jim. Three new members joined this year, but we have lost three.

Wendy B. says Governor Ayotte will be at the derby to draw the winning ticket.

Program - Fishing Derby Preparation

Fred reminds us that you need to bring your shift bag to Dick’s office starting Saturday morning. Get them to Dick by 11 am Saturday for the drawings. Dick’s office is at 29 Foundry Ave. Fred will walk anyone selling tickets through the process. Tickets are now three parts:
  • The Top white one to Dick with shift bag.
  • Yellow copy to anglers.
  • The third copy is pink, and that is for data entry.
Tell anglers to take a picture of their ticket so they can recover it if they lose it. The ticket number and telephone number must be legible.

Online ticket sales end Friday at midnight.

For volunteer shifts at the Derby Trailer, Give yourself plenty of time to park your vehicle, especially for later shifts.

The buffet price at the Derby Celebration Dinner is $30 for Rotarians.
 
This year, we are renaming the activity tent the Steve Bennet Activity Tent in honor of a long-serving judge who recently passed away.

The sign-up sheet is full. Thanks all! If you feel sick, do not show up to the trailer. Call 279-7600 if you can’t make it.

Activities for kids' tent: heated! Squam Science Center, Miss Karen from Meredith Library is doing story time and a scavenger hunt with a prize bag for completion. Also, a coloring contest, With Bree-lakes to sell treats, decorate your cookies, and guess how many Swedish fish are in the bucket. Thanks, Erin K!
The town has approved Kiwanis's plan to have a pop-up tent by the boat ramp to serve coffee.

Fred led us in the 4-way test. The meeting adjourned at 7:03 pm.
