It is finally October! Which means it is time for socks. For the past eleven years, the Inter-Lakes Interact Club, sponsored by Meredith Rotary, has held its annual Socktober project to collect socks for those in need. Last year the club collected over 5,700 pairs, and over the past eleven years has collected and donated more than 28,700 pairs of socks to those in need.
Bring your sock donations to any club meeting this month. Contact Gary Dehnel with questions.
CLUB BUSINESS
The board had a busy week: welcoming Len Labua as our newest member, approving the transfer of Kevin Millar and Jen Grisi into the club, and signing off on a donation to Casa. Looking ahead, mark your calendar for bowling at Funspot on Wednesday, October 7, at 5:30 PM, and please thank Jim McFarlin, who donated a new screen for our meetings.
DERBY TICKETS ARE LIVE
With tickets, brochures, and the online sales system all ready to go, this year's derby is officially open for business, and the ops manual is now available right on Club Runner.
The Derby Committee is looking for someone to lead the customer phone support team, so if you've got a knack for answering questions and keeping things running smoothly, contact Gary Dehnel.
AMIGOS DE HONDURAS: A GREAT DAY ON THE COURSE
Amigos de Honduras has sponsored medical mission trips to Honduras for 27 years, bringing dentists and physicians to treat more than 31,000 patients, building 19 schools, and bringing clean water to towns that needed it most. Our district's golf tournament in support of that work raised an estimated $5,000 this year, and the next mission trip is planned for January 2027 for anyone who wants to join. Learn more.

LEARNING CLUB RUNNER
Club Runner is the tool behind our website, membership records, attendance tracking, and email blasts, basically the engine running the club behind the scenes. Favoriting items like All Events and Club Documents builds out a personalized home screen, making it quick to find what you need.
