The meeting started at 6:05 pm with President Fred leading with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a prayer submitted by a recovering Dan Whitney.

Bonnie Ireland introduced tonight's guests: membership candidates Carol & Jim Kidd and Dr. Jack Foster.

Bonnie also introduced our special guest speaker, Pat Tarpey, President of the Lake Winnipesaukee Association and the Lakes Region Rotary Club. Pat is a dedicated environmentalist and a long-time advocate for preserving our local water bodies.

Kevin Kelly proudly presented a TRF minute (or should I say minutes?) about our Meredith Rotary Club's triumphant award of a Global Grant. This grant has significantly assisted 4 area Fire Departments with critically important equipment, a testament to Rotary's impactful contributions.

Announcements

Bonnie I. reminded everyone about the club's upcoming Squam Lake cruise. This scenic tour of the beautiful lake will be followed by a delightful dining experience at Walter's Basin. Please notify her if you are interested in getting on the waiting list for this exclusive event.

Harry R. reminded everyone about the next Styrofoam Collection Day on September 21st. Harry's considerable collection success and John Moulton's announcement that his organization will contribute half a dozen yards of Styrofoam and truck transportation are worth celebrating. Their dedication and success inspire us all.

The meeting paused for a dinner break, and I'd be remiss if I didn't praise John Moulton's team for delivering a delicious meal!

Program Presentation

Lake Winnipesaukee Association President Pat Tarpey focused on the upcoming Lake Winnipesaukee Clean Up, scheduled for Saturday, October 12th! As in the past, our club will be concentrating on Meredith Bay.

We will start early and clean Hesky Park until 11:30 am. Then, all are invited to a thank-you party at Ames Farm in Gilford. Several other Rotary Clubs from around the lake and public volunteers will participate.

The meeting ended with reciting the Four Way Pledge, an essential tradition of our club that symbolizes our commitment to the principles of Rotary: service, integrity, leadership, and fellowship.
