Speaker: District Governor Venue Rao – experience as a district lieutenant governor, rotary president, engineer, teacher at UNH with a lot of related experience.

Next district conference will be in Danforth, Ma. Will be family oriented. This year’s theme is “Be The Inspiration”.  Pay respect to Art Clough A former district governor. He invited our youth exchange students and welcomed them.

He Started in December and started realizing not many people know what rotary does. After that, he became their publicity chairman. Got inspired by his daughter to help people (kids) in rural India to get electricity so the kids can study and go to school. The electricity provided an opportunity for older people and nomads to study and get an education so they can move ahead. He got inspired to carry it further and get help from other rotary clubs in the district. He presented it to the district on a cruise to the annual conference. He was introduced to Ken Grable who introduced him to the foundation and how the grant works. He took this information and a visit to Bangalore India to inspire him to lead the pure water campaign. He was able to visit clubs and raise the money needed to invest in the program. Basically, we come together to do some good.
Three Goals:
  1. Raise the club members by focusing on retention of new members. Encourage every member to bring a friend to help them achieve their passions. Venu will create a retention committee to visit clubs who are successful at retaining to learn what they do and share it with the clubs having difficulties retaining their members. The district clubs together raised over (2) million dollars but not many people know this. Quarterly announcements from each club to be combined and spread through news and social media to promote rotary. Rotary week in New Hampshire to advertise and promote rotary to the local community. Arrange and invite local government and business leaders to describe what we do.
  2. Every Rotary club to participate in one rotary global grant project.
  3. Every Rotarian in district to contribute to the foundation
