Program
Fred introduced Betty Strader, member of the time capsule committee who planned the celebration for the 1968 time capsule opening. Betty explained that there is still another time capsule waiting to be opened in 2068 and that the committee is collecting items for a new time capsule commemorating 2018 Meredith events. She introduced the slideshow she created for the 1968 time capsule opening and explained that for the 200th anniversary, 500 people or 20% of the town was involved in helping in an official capacity with many more helping out behind the scenes. The slideshow highlights events from the 200th accompanied by music from 1968.
