Program
The evening program was led by Carl Johnson who spoke on Paul Harris (1868-1947), his humble beginning, his struggles with school administrators, his lengthy quest to find himself, his astounding successes in adult life, his foresight in founding Rotary (upon his death 200,000 members) and in charting its course to become what it is today. In recognition of the leadership and philanthropy Paul Harris’s demonstrated in his life we have the annual Paul Harris’ Award for Rotary Members and the Paul Harris Community Award. Carl, chair of the Paul Harris Committee, explained both awards announcing that the deadline to nominate has passed but will be extended to Monday, October 29th.
