OPENING
President Craig opened the meeting at 6 ++  P.M. followed by the Pledge

Prayer by Rev. John Eaton, however first he educated us on the medicinal properties – or lack thereof – of Corona Beer. I think I heard Brian Kratz chime in that he was going to have the Corona virus and Limes Disease. After all that, we needed a prayer.

Guests:  Prospective members: Steve Capechetti – aka Capy, Brian Harris and Samantha Ryan.
Fitz and Jazmin Morrisette, Interact President.

News from the Board
  • Meredith Library approached the Board last week. Last year the Board had pledged $25,000.  Board approved a second pledge of $25,000 this year. This pledge will be a naming opportunity for the lobby in the new facility. This is “on the table” tonight for discussion.  Vote will be next week.
  • John Sherman complimented Jim McFarlin on the job well done.
  • We are assured that we will still have adequate funds for other donations.

Announcements:
Jazmin presented a check for $500 to Jim McFarlin for the Meredith Library.  Next week Interact is having a bowling tournament at FunSpot to raise funds for Polio Plus and St. Jude’s.

Betsey tried hawking leftover small-size Derby gear. Solution: it will be given to the school nurse.

CARL - Happy $
  • $1 from everyone that wasn’t “sporting” a tie-dyed Tshirt.  Carl, you’ve really GOT to up your wardrobe.
  • Betsey really, really missed John Sherman at the Derby
  • Tim is exiting Chippers on Friday and starting his new business.
  • Heidi – her daughter had breast cancer surgery with a good prognosis
  • Fitz that we’re all healthy and kicking this virus
  • Jim McFarlin – thanked Interact for their generous gift plus a Big Thank You to the Board for their once-in-a-lifetime donation to the library.  Last but not least thank you to John Woodaman for helping Lisa Davis connect her generator on Derby weekend.
  • Kevin is leaving for PETS and more surgery where I’m sure he’ll collect more jokes, so we’ll see you in a few weeks.
  • Chuck to Steamboat for National Championship. Chuck, you’re our National Champion!
  • Ray – youngest grandson had a top 10 finish at Cranmore; and older brother excelled in MA
  • Bonnie H regrets that Bob took her to Hawaii – making her miss the Derby. Ginny filled in with blueberry muffins.

RAFFLE won by John Sherman and donated back

Meeting adjourned at 6:28 so all the Meredith residents can sprint to School Board Meeting
