March Rotary Meetings
President Fred mentioned that two March Rotary meetings would not occur due to the Town and School annual meetings. He proposed that we still meet socially and head to the meetings or home.
March 12th - Town Meeting
March 19- School Board
Where can we go instead of coming to Harts (The Mug? The Breeze? Or other suggestions) since there will be no meeting?
NH HB720
Bill Kaik mentioned that a new house bill would ban the importation of live bait into New Hampshire.
This could be detrimental to the Ice Fishing Derby, thus impacting all those we raise funds for
Gary Dehnel- Donated to the Boat Museum and received extra tickets to
visit the museum. He gave them to Harry R.
Harry R: Next Styrofoam collection will take place on Saturday, March 29th; more
information to come after the Derby

Interact Announcements
ILMHS Interact members Claire and Kierra presented the new “Bob House.”
It reminds them of a pop-up tent
It’s the size of one of Gary’s garage bays
Goodies, such as foldable chairs, inflatable couch-like seating, and lanterns, will be inside. (Floor is DYI)
The change was due to the price—about $800, which is much cheaper than a traditional Bob house.
How can you win this amazing new Bob house tent while supporting Interact? Raffle tickets will be sold at the Derby for $5.00 for one ticket and five tickets for $20.
Gary will also have them at the Rotary Meeting next week
The raffle drawing will be on Sunday, Feb. 9th, at 3:00 pm.
Interact Ice Fishing Derby Design Contest

Happy Dollars
Dean G: The host Families have been secured for next year! Woohoo! Fun fact: The second host dad is an ER Doctor and Volunteer firefighter at Center Harbor. He mentioned that Rotary donated the dive suits!
Erin Kaik: was accepted to Grad school and will earn her CAGS with Principal Licensure.
Claire Clark- needed an A on her math test to raise her grade to an A, and she did it! Amazing Claire!
Gary D- Thank you to Kiera and Claire for coming to present about Interact at the Fishing Derby.
Dan Whitney- “No place like home!” Welcome home, Dan!
Jim McFarland won the happy dollars! He donated back to the Food Pantry.
Derby Program Presentation: (Wendy, Bill, and Erin)
Wendy Bagley informed us that the Derby volunteer spots are filling up, and just a few more places must be filled! Come on, Rotarians, this is our event; we can fill those spots!
All members are requested to attend next week’s meeting as this is the final prep meeting!
The “Derby Thank You Dinner" on February 19th was discussed, and the buffet style was agreed upon. Rotarians must pay for their meals and any guests they bring, such as spouses. If you are bringing a guest, please let Wendy know ASAP. Rotary will pay for those we invite, such as Fish and Game, Body Covers, etc.
Bill Kaik shared that ticket sales are going great! There was a discussion about possibly selling tickets during Pond Hockey. Bill mentioned he has been working in the trailer with Bruce, and they have sold tickets to the public who inquire at the window.
Wendy and Erin Kaik modeled the new derby merchandise! The Rotarian’s Special shopping is now closed, but don’t fear if you missed out; you may still purchase it at the merchandise trailer on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Please be mindful that items will hopefully sell out, but we currently have an online store open to the general public. Erin reviewed the events at the Kids Tent. Thank you to Bruce, who helped secure the Squam Science Center on Sunday.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:09 pm.
The next meeting will be on February 5th at Harts.
