The February 26 guest speaker was Dr. Matt Wheeler, District 7090's first Rotary Global Grant Scholar.

Matt Wheeler is a a Maori/Indigenous doctor, he is a haematologist from New Zealand here doing thrombosis research. It is hoped that some of the skills in research methodology he learns  can be applied to indigenous health on returning home.

In this picture, Matt is thanked for his very informative presentation by Past-President, Marta Stiteler.  Matt was given a certificate indicating that funding would be sent to Rotary International to immunize 25 children against polio.
