Janette Smith will educate us on the latest infrastructe and growth developments that the city faces.
Janette Smith is the City Manager for the City of Hamilton, and took on the role in May 2019.
A champion of improving community health and well-being for the past 30 years, Janette has extensive experience in public service, serving in various senior leadership roles at the Region of Peel for the past two decades including the Commissioner of Health Services and the Commissioner of Public Works.
She has spent many years fostering important partnerships for policy and programs that improve the quality of life of the community while maximizing the value of tax dollars. She has focused on priorities such as building healthy and age-friendly environments, integrated growth management, climate change, waste diversion and emergency planning.
