KEENE ELM CITY ROTARY

Founded in 1990, the Keene Elm City Rotary club is a member of Rotary International, District 7870. Our 60-plus members utilize their skills, experience, and resources to fulfill and encourage the Rotary ideal of “Service Above Self.” Since 2012, the Clarence DeMar Marathon & Half Marathon has been our signature fundraising event, with proceeds from the DeMar races supporting our primary focus in meeting the needs of the youth in our community.

Being a "hands-on” club has been an essential part of our roots and an important part of who we are today. Our projects include:  International service work in El Salvador and Puerto Rico with our Monadnock Interact program and Greater Keene Rotaract Club; Our much-loved Move Everyday - Sneakers for 2nd Graders program, encouraging area youth to become more physically active; and volunteering for meal service and holiday basket delivery for the Keene Community Kitchen and MUCH (Monadnock Understands Childhood Hunger). Additionally, we actively participate in the local roadside clean-up efforts, maintain a City of Keene Rail Trail pocket park, and support numerous other community non-profits and educational scholarships.
