This Weekend is the Telling Tales Festival

A Great Time was had by many of the 5500+ Visitors in 2013 to the largest FREE Literacy Festival in the World. Over 18 different Rotary Clubs roll up their sleeves and join in the organization, promotion and running of this festival every year.  Check out www.tellingtales.org for this year's information and Famous Author Schedule!

Telling tales is a free festival where families can discover stories together, it’s set in a beautiful historic Westfield heritage village, it’s a day when we leave our technology behind and stories and history are coming alive.

Who?

Whether you have a newborn or a sixteen-year-old – our festival has something for every age. Avid readers and, most importantly, reluctant readers will find this a rewarding experience. Parents, grandparents, educators, aspiring writers and illustrators, established writers and illustrators, storytellers, musicians, literacy champions, history buffs and lovers of stories will enjoy Telling Tales.

A celebration of stories in many forms. A new annual family experience to take your grand-children to years from now. A place to discover what’s new and what’s never forgotten in the realm of children’s stories.

Ideally located and easy driving distance (30 minutes) from Hamilton, Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo, Brantford, Burlington, Oakville and Milton

Guests park at Rockton Fairgrounds www.rocktonworldsfair.com and take the 5 min complimentary shuttle service (thanks to Hillfield-Strathallan Colleges) to Westfiled Heritage Village. (All free of charge). There is NO General parking at Westfield. One must have a special pass (i.e. presenters, volunteer, media, handicapped, school bus, or Sponsor) to park at Westfield.
