KENYA AND MADAGASCAR

Ian and Polly shared their recent trip to Kenya and Madagascar.

At the the Sept. 25th meeting, Ian and Polly Montgomery shared pictures and information garnered from their recent trip to Kenya and Madagascar.  Ian showed several slides depicting buildings, scenes and people that he and Polly encountered in the two countries.
Poverty, beauty, humanity and native species and animals came to life before our eyes.In the discussion following the slides, Polly described her participation in a women's conference and emphasized the feeling of empowerment that the women participants experienced from the conference. Ian expressed his admiration for the poor farmers who devised and method of producing fuel from cow manure. Such ingenuity may auger well for future creative solutions to problems found Madagascar.  The presentation was very well received and many interesting questions and comments ensued.  We look forward to Ian and Polly's presentation on Myramar in the future.
