WELCOME

President George Weir welcomed all to the June 14th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. Jeff Hagstrom offered the following meaningful invocation:

God, bless all the fathers in the world.
Guide them to be good role models
and loving to all their children.
Help them to be a father like You are.
Give them grace and patience
to handle situations in a loving way.
Amen!

This was followed by the pledge of allegiance.

As a luncheon of pork loin (yes, again), gluten free butternut squash ravioli, angel hair pasta with chicken, mac & cheese, salad, bread, and chocolate chip cookies for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.

GUEST: Chris Stoner, Jana Zeller, and Diane Todd (speaker)

JOKE OF THE WEEK

For our Rotary joke, Cathy Coonan told the following:

An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car. He says, "Sir, have you been drinking?" "Just water," says the priest. The trooper says, "Then why do I smell wine?" The priest looks at the bottle and says, "Good Lord! He's done it again!"
