Registrars Report

Rotarian Harry reported that there were 21 Rotarians present along with 16 guests, which included returning out bound students, Lexi Penny, Rebecca Schmitt, Robin Kelly and this year’s in-bound students, Joanne and Gabo .

Announcements

President Bob reminded members of the upcoming District 7090 Bash being held on October 25-26 and President Bob would like to see a good turn out from our Club.

President Bob reminded the members that Paul Murphy would appreciate members attending the Fundraising event being held on Friday October 24, 2014. Refer www.amethyst.ca

Rotarian Jim H reminded that the Fantasy of Trees is now being organized and members are encouraged to reach out to potential new sponsors. We would like to have sponsors signed up by October 31st.

Rotarian Thomas advised that he will be sending out the schedule and asking volunteers for the Pumpkin Drive being held October 18 to October 31.

Program

Jeanette introduced the returning students and their parents and introduced the inbound students. Each of the returning students briefly outlined the impact that a year in a new country had impacted them and their parents also said a few words about how they had changed during the time away. We can all be very proud of these confident and ambitious young adults.

The rest of the evening was informal so that members and quests could mingle freely.
