The Rotary Club of Bedford awarded three scholarships this year to graduating seniors.
 
 The Rotary Service Award Scholarship of $2,500 was given to Elias Ashooh of Bedford High School who will be attending Providence College.
 
Caleb Alexander of Bedford High School was awarded a music scholarship of $1,000 and will be attending University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music.
 
 Michael Trough of Manchester West High School was awarded a music scholarship of $1,000 and will be attending Plymouth State University.
 
 In addition, the Rotary do­nated to the following organi­zations this year: Challenger Sports, Bedford Public Library Summer Reading Program, NH Food Bank, Camp Allen - dona­tion for repairs and the Camp­ership Fund, Bedford Educa­tional Foundation Grant to fund a teacher for AP Government Course training, Friends of Bed­ford Cemeteries, The Derryfield School Breakthrough Manches­ter Program, Northeast Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, Inc., Knights of Columbus for the Veterans Home in Tilton, Bed­ford High School Leadership class projects including Parker Varney School, Food for Chil­dren and Liberty House, Nashua Rotary Club Mexico Pediatric Neurology Project, St. Anselm College Bedford Rotary Scholar­ship Fund and the Rotary Inter­national Foundation.
 
This year, the Rotary is proud to be a sponsor of a new Interact Club at Bedford High School. The orga­nization also raises money for the Salvation Army by ringing the bell during the holidays.
