The Big Quiz

Last Saturday evening, the 4th May, 82 would be Quiz Night winners gathered at the comfortable Unley Park Sports Club aspiring to take home the much coveted first prize at the annual Hyde Park Rotary Club Quiz Night.

President Gerry was the Quiz Master and he set the bar high with a most intriguing selection of questions which frustrated and amused us all. The evening set us all many challenges and moved along at a steady pace which kept the interest at a high level.

At the halfway mark it became obvious that the outcome was shaping up to be a contest between the table of Bernie Boxer and that of Judy Greenway. By the end of the evening Bernie and his team had edged ahead and claimed the first prize with Judy and her team claiming second prize.

Several raffle and door prizes along with top/tail and true/false game prizes were also collected by lucky participants throughout the evening.

 

All prizes were donated and our thanks go to Margaret, Colleen, Judy and Lyn for their efforts in obtaining and wrapping the prizes in a most presentable way. Bernie and Lyn also made sure that everyone had raffle tickets.

Thanks go to President Gerry for conducting such an enjoyable evening along with his team and also to Rob and Erica Handley who organised the setting up and the tidying up at the end of the evening.

 All proceeds will be donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
