Easter Big Day Out at the Zoo

Each year the Ladies of Variety team enriches the lives of thousands of children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs through wonderful, entertaining and educational experiences. Ladies of Variety functions offer children to be part of activities and events that due to disability or financial hardship, they otherwise would not be able to experience.

Brownhill Creek and Hyde Park Rotary clubs join forces to provide and cook hundreds and hundreds of sausages and serve them up on bread and choice of sauces with optional onions. The weather was perfect and the children had a wonderful time looking at the animals, being entertained by the performers on stilts, the life sized Easter bunnies and eating sausages, sandwiches, hot cross buns etc.

The big BBQ on wheels performed perfectly and Mike and Roger were putting out perfectly cooked snags so that Sandy and Colleen could hand them out to the appreciative throng.  A very satisfying event rewarded by the obvious enjoyment shown by the children and their carers.
