The Rotary Club of Hyde Park held it's 2017 Annual General Meeting at The Goody on Wednesday evening.
Following an intense period of review and drafting, Alan Moss and Miles Harper presented proposed updated Constitution and By-Laws. The work was appreciated and acknowledge by the members.
Reports form Past President and Past Treasurer Mike McAuliffe were presented, tabled and accepted. President Rob Handley called for a show of appreciation for the tremendous effort that Mike had put in over the last several years.
Nominations of the positions of President (Gerry Greenway), Secretary (Alan Moss), Treasurer (Peter Griffiths) and International Director (Rodger Thomas) were accepted and approved. The incoming President will "harass" members over the next 7 months to fill other positions.

President Rob presented a Certificate of Appreciation from Australian Rotary Health for the Club's support of Indigenjous Health Scholarship to Margaret Blake.

The Club AGM was followed by the AGM for the Rotary Club of Hyde Park Charitable Trust. Chair Peter Ochota presented a summary report and Treasurer Ian Stewart outlined the Trust's financial position and activity. Over the last 3 years the capital holding in the Trust has declined despite every endeavour by the Board. Vigorous discussion followed the proposal that, unless new members would join the Board of Trustees, the Trust would be wound up at the end of the present financial year. Some expressions of interest were expressed and the Club agreed to advise the Trust of our intensions for the future by February 2018.
