On Thursday March 19, our speaker will be Lieutenant Christopher Golden. Commissioned an Officer in The Salvation Army in 2012, Lieutenant Christopher Golden has the served the Gateway Communities of Los Angeles International Airport and Long Beach for nearly 10 years. Along with his wife, Lieutenant Joanne Golden and their 8 year old son Micah, The Golden Family is dedicated to improving the life of people while presenting Christ as option for positive growth and experience. A Rotarian since 2011, Chris was invite to a Rotary meeting by another community figure in Mr. Wayne Spencer who said we need someone like you to be apart of the "community team". This had to be the best decision I've made in my personal and professional development. "Rotary makes me a better person, better community leader, and a better Officer in The Salvation Army. I'm excited to be a Rotarian and what we get to do in changing the world" said Golden. Lieutenant Golden achieved Paul Harris Fellowship in 2012.

Lieutenant Golden holds and A.A. in Ministry from The Salvation Army College of Officers' Training, Rancho Palos Verdes, a B.A. in Religion from Vanguard University of Southern California, and will complete his M.A in Leadership Studies in December 2015 from Vanguard University. A member of the first ever Vocational Training Team (VTT) to Istanbul, Turkey for Peace and Conflict Resolution Matters (October 2013), Lieutenant Golden participates in many Rotary and Community based leadership teams including Orange County based Leadership Tomorrow (Alumni 2012) and Leadership Long Beach (LLBI 2013 Alumni). Lieutenant Golden enjoys all things Rotary and Leadership based as well as traveling the world with his family, photography, and his classic home arcade.
