Come join our upcoming meeting on March 2 (Thursday) at the Los Angeles Athletic Club where our speaker will be Katherine M. Butler, 
an environmental health scientist with 10 years of experience in epidemiology and toxicology. She leads environmental health investigations for the Toxics Epidemiology Program at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and has led environmental emergency response activities to large-scale disasters, including the Aliso Canyon natural gas blowout and Fruitland chemical fire in Maywood. She serves as a member of the Los Angeles County Toxic Threat Strike Team and  Los Angeles County Oil and Gas Strike Team. 
 
Prior to working for the Department of Public Health, Ms. Butler was a senior health scientist at a private environmental health consulting firm. She led health assessments for a wide variety of national and international projects, including mining facilities in the United States, oil and gas development in Canada, and military site remediation sites in the South Pacific. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors in Science and from the University of Michigan with a Masters in Public Health. She is Past President of the Society for Risk Analysis Southern California Chapter and Past President of the Playa Venice Rotary Club.

Both our happy hour and meeting will now take place on the 3F, starting at the Invention Bar and later moving to a separate room for our business meeting.  There is no longer a flat fee for a meal - you are welcome to order off the menu and settle payments directly with the server!
