RCLAM Nominee Selected for 2009 Group Study Exchange

Downtown resident and Neighborhood Council director Ashley Zarella was nominated by the Rotary Club of Los Angeles Morning to be a part of the 2009 GSE team to South Korea.

Ashley Zarella, a Downtown Los Angeles resident, was recently selected to be a member of the 2009 Group Study Exchange team heading off to South Korea. The team will meet with other Rotary clubs in South Korea, and will observe work and Rotary activities in their host country.

Ms. Zarella is a LEED-certified professional, and works for the architecture firm DMJM Design. She was recently elected as the Area-wide Workforce Director of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, and heads up the Council's Sustainability Committee. She has also been working with the Rotary Club of Los Angeles Morning to help us implement our forthcoming "greening Downtown" community service project.

She has expressed her thanks for our support in forwarding her application and is excited about this amazing opportunity.
