Christopher Crowell works in downtown Los Angeles as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.  Previously, Christopher spent close to nine years in private practice and also served as a judicial law clerk with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California in Sacramento.  Christopher grew up in San Diego, attended college in the Bay Area and law school in Chicago, and now lives in Santa Monica with his wife Michelle, who is a PhD candidate at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.  In his spare time, Christopher enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, and reading.

Christopher is excited about using Rotary as a vehicle to effect positive change in downtown Los Angeles and beyond.  He is particularly interested in youth, educational, and literacy activities and has volunteered with Reading to Kids, a nonprofit that organizes monthly reading clubs for underserved elementary school children. Christopher is looking forward to participating in the Stair Climb for Los Angeles in September to benefit the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA.
