I am currently studying Peace, Conflict and Development at Universidad Jaume I (UJI) in Castellón de la Plana, which is the UNESCO Chair in Philosophy of Peace. My international cohort is an excellent match for my interest in diverse cultures.  While obtaining my undergraduate degree in Film Production at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2014, I traveled to over 40 countries - mostly in the developing world. While I was traveling, I focused a great deal of my attention on photography, filmmaking, and cultural immersion.

During this time, I became more informed about politics in the “global village” and the difficulties faced by workers in the field of international aid. The master’s program at UJI will afford me the opportunity to combine my media skills with my knowledge of the international aid community. In addition, I am developing a community development platform that will support Sub-Saharan African refugees and immigrants living in the communities of Castellón and Valencia. My project here in Spain will be enhanced by my experience with photography, journalism and filmmaking. I look forward to sharing my work with the Rotary Club of Castellón as well as those of you back in the United States.
