Lainie Denslow, speaking on international business protocol has been rescheduled from this Thursday to speak instead at our Thursday, February 4, meeting. The club will be dark this Thursday as we prepare for the District Breakfast as well as the visit of Rotary International President John Kenny.

Club members are encouraged to attend either or both of the following Rotary events next week:

District Breakfast (Tuesday, January 12):
This year's third District Breakfast will feature Rotarians for Fighting AIDS (RFFA) founder Marion Bunch. A decade after losing her son to AIDS, Marion's life took an unexpected detour. In 2003, she started a Rotarian Action Group now known as Rotarians for Fighting AIDS (RFFA). Early on, Ms. Bunch realized the potential of partnerships and signed Coca-Cola, HOPE Worldwide, and the US government as key action group players. Rotarian Marion is a member of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody, Georgia.

RI President John Kenny at LA5 (Friday, January 15):
Rotary International President John Kenny will be visiting District 5280 on January 15. Governor Susanne is asking clubs to go dark that day and attend the RI President's luncheon at the LA5 Rotary Club. The luncheon will commence at 11:30am at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. Please arrive at 11:00am for check in at what should be a very-well-attended event.
