Dear Rotarians and Friends,

Hope you can join us this Thursday Jan 15 for our monthly Happy Hour. If you've never visited LA's historic Grand Central Market (opened in 1917), you won't want to miss this, along with the limited time art installation (see description below)!

January’s Happy Hour includes the Yarn-O-Polis art installation at the DTLA Grand Central Market. This is a Greek-inspired public art installation staged by Yarn Bombing LA and the GCM. This is designed to examine the GCM as an agora in DTLA that brings together the different histories, neighborhoods and makers. This represents 6 months of work from over 100 knitters and crocheters from all across the world, including Gather DTLA, Angeles Plaza Senior Center, Downtown Women’s Center, Braille Institute, Pasadena Crochet Meetup and Central Public Library Knitting Group. Yarn-O-Polis is also an official part of Downtown LA Art Walk.

The Grand Central Market is at 317 S. Broadway, but we will meet on the Hill Street side, between 3rd and 4th Streets, from 5pm on.  We will meet on the Hill Street Platform of the Market. Parking lot entry is also on the Hill Street side.
