Happy Holidays!

On December 17, Rotary DTLA joined with friends at the historic Taix Restaurant for our annual holiday celebration.  Past District Governor Vickie Radel reminded us in her toast of the beauty of Rotary, which welcomes all no matter what religion or creed we subscribe to - an important reminder during these festive days amidst a world in great need of the hope Rotary brings for peace, understanding, and global fellowship.

 

As we closed our gathering amidst laughter and gratitude we exchanged white elephant gifts - where the various gifters explained what significance their various objects had to Rotary - some more obvious than others, some downright obscure, but all deeply meaningful!!  Holding the flower vase he received, new member Joe Chauvapun quoted the "Object of Rotary," drawing our attention to the important bonds that bind us together.

 

As we look towards 2016 and all the grand possibilities that await, all of us at the Rotary Club of Downtown Los Angeles send our best wishes to all during this holiday season and throughout the new year!
