Join us for our regular meeting on Aug. 21, Thurs. at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.

We'll be joined by Ginny Brideau this week, as we learn about Downtown LA's Local Sanitation Project. Below is an excerpt about Ginny.

Working since 15, Ginny has washed dishes, bagged groceries, answered phones, done some filing, made photocopies and a lot of lattes and mochas, all in an effort to get to where she is today - a Project Manager for TRG. When asked what she does, she tells her father “I protect the world from Engineers, and on some days I protect Engineers from the world.” She spends her working hours translating environmental documents into a language that her neighbors would understand. Her whole purpose is to empower individuals, who will come together as a community to work towards a common good.

Most notably, since 2007, Ginny has been a compelling force in bringing together the communities of Downtown Los Angeles to generate support for Metro’s Regional Connector Transit Corridor Project, running through Financial District, Grand Avenue, Broadway, and Little Tokyo. Ginny lives in and loves Downtown, and has previously served on the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council as Vice President.

Our meeting begins at 6:30pm with pre-meeting fellowship from 5:30pm at the 3F Invention Bar.

Guests welcome (meal charge of $20).  Hope to see you there!
