Thanks to our Conference Committee and volunteers from Marion-East Rotary

Al, Barry, LaNisha, Sarah and Jacob.  With a very special thanks to Cindy Preussner, our District Committee Chair and to DG John and Cindy Bender along with our Treasurer, Erik Miles.  Thanks Jeff, our Interact groups and Youth Exchange team who conducted the Flag Ceremony. They then moved on to enjoy lunch and a lot of conversation led by Jeff and Taylor Nelson.  Thanks Michelle for overseeing auctions raising almost $8,000 to benefit The Rotary Foundation, and Saturday's emcee Nick who then helped lead an interesting panel.  Our House of Friendship display is impressive, thanks Tom.

District Governor Bender adds, "thank you to all our members from Cindy Preussner and I for all that helped plan the conference, attend the conference, and help with set up, greeting, speaking, joining a panel discussion, joining one of the break-outs, and just all efforts to make the conference a success.  I have heard nothing but just great comments! Congrats to the Marion East Rotary for again winning the Presidential Citation, the Governors award, and sponsoring two interact clubs, that both won the Presidential Citation from Ron Burton. Congratulations also to Michelle who was honored with Avenues of Service Citation, a very special recognition".

As these things go, it is a team of many who made Rotary District 5970 Conference an overwhelming success!
