Shoes For Kids

A major activity of the Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club is its shoe project, "Shoes for Kids." The program began with the 2003-2004 school year with Marion area schools and expanded to the entire Cedar Rapids area in the Fall of 2004. The program now covers all of Linn County. School nurses and counselors identify students who are in need and who may not have the ability to wear adequate shoes to school. Money raised by the club pays for the shoes.

The need is great and kids who are able to wear shoes that are in good shape have one less thing to worry about as they receive a great education.
