We are a nonpolitical, nonsectarian social organization comprising local business, civic and professional leaders. We meet regularly to get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to solve community and global problems with service projects. Like:
  • Scholarships at 5 local high schools,
  • Interact Clubs at 3 local schools.
  • Support the YMCA, City Center, Ventura Botanical Gardens
  • Promote literacy and career guidance in schools
  • Internationally we support a medical project in Ethiopia and contribute to eliminating Polio worldwide.
The Rotary Club of  Ventura-East meets Thursday noon to 1:30 at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura. Come and learn more about Rotary's humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in this community. Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference.

I must admit the B-52’s are one of my all-time favorite bands and when I hear last week’s guest was
going the speak on the topic of Managing Generation Z, the song Channel Z by the B-52’s kept playing in
my head….LOL! One thing is for sure, Robbin provided a very detailed analysis of the Z Generation that
I know will help me to understand, relate, and work better with my “Z” counterparts on daily basis.
Wonderful Program.

Speaking of wonderful programs, you don’t want to miss this week’s program, a presentation from
Community Action Ventura County. Community Action has grown from it’s beginning in 1965 to
become a force for community involvement in helping low-income families and homeless persons
improve their economic well-being. I am excited to hear more about what they are doing in our
community and how we might be able to help.
