President's Message
Jeff Burgh
member photo
I begin this week’s newsletter with sad news – Longtime Rotarian and member of the club Bob Lynn passed away last week, after a short illness.  I don’t have much information as I write this but will pass along any additional information as it becomes available.  My thoughts and prayers are with Bob’s wife, Linda.  Below is something Bob wrote a few decades ago that I’d like to share with all of you.

"Design is all about danger.  To push your thoughts and ideas into the danger zone where you chance becoming the design is scary. But danger is part of good design.

As I grow older I see my friends grow more complacent and more satisfied with their dissatisfactions.

Yet I find myself more restless than ever. I find more willingness to do away with that which doesn't serve me.

While those around me seek security & cling to the hope of dodging the horrors of old age and infirmities, trying to find a way to afford the impossible with "Long term care insurance", I find I'm in much less fear of the bastard named death.

I find I have less patience with stupidity, yet more ability to deal with it or to avoid it.

I will fight the fight so long as there is life in living, but when mere living has taken my life then
I will resign the game to sleep the dreams of nothing.

Until that time I intend to remain Dangerous.

                Very Dangerous."
:: Bob Lynn

After reading Bob’s words, I am sad to say that I didn’t know Bob all that well, for he was truly a man worth knowing.

Again, Please keep Linda in your Thoughts and Prayers.
