We are a nonpolitical, nonsectarian social organization comprising local business, civic and professional leaders. We meet regularly to get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to solve community and global problems with service projects. Like:

Scholarships at 5 local high schools,
Interact Clubs at 3 local schools.
Support the YMCA, City Center, Ventura Botanical Gardens
Promote literacy and career guidance in schools
Internationally we support a medical project in Ethiopia and contribute to eliminating Polio worldwide.

The Rotary Club of Ventura-East meets Thursday noon to 1:30 at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura. Come and learn more about Rotary's humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in this community. Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference.

Started in 2020 to address a need within our community, Unity to Spark Change has come a long way in a short time and is helping to bring all sectors of our community together. Partnering with Ventura County Deputy Sheriff Association and other Community Based Organizations has provided Mike Wing, Executive Director, with an opportunity to get the word out about ending social bias in our local community. Bringing people from all walks of life together is what Unity to Spark Change is all about – Once you get to know your neighbor you get to grow with your neighbor. Together we can end the bias. What a wonderful presentation!

We have another very interesting program for you this week as well. Robotics is what it’s all about as we learn how robots will soon take over the world, no wait that was a movie I saw last night. However, our program will be just as interesting, you don’t want to miss it and remember to bring a guest.

President Jeff thanked Margarida Eidson for helping him out by starting the meeting today.
