Thank you Love VC volunteers!! We completed our assignment for a Flash of Beauty video for the District and contributed to a landscape project at the YMCA that we can all admire as we drive past. That was some hard work, too! I love that we can do projects for community programs that we support throughout the year. It really fosters our connection.
Last week we heard from Wade Nomura about the Rotary Rose Parade Float program and experience. Club members who have participated in the past spoke up about what an amazing and memorable time they had. Cal Magro is looking into getting a date/time for us to get a group together and car pool down there. Not limited to Rotarians, so if you have friends and family that have this on their bucket-list of things to do….
October 24th is World Polio Day. This week we will have a program highlighting how far we have come and how close we are to our goal and the herculean effort it has been. Bring any stories or experiences you would like to share.
Next week is our third Thursday social. We will meet at the Crowne Plaza’s Moofish Cafe at 5:30. Please add any guests to the sign up sheet.($20 each) Invite prospective members for good food, good company, and good music: the cafe has a live jazz band on Thursdays!
One more thing: Poinsettia season is almost here!!
