We are a leadership organization comprising of local business, civic and professional leaders.
We are a nonpolitical, nonsectarian service club.
We meet regularly to get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to get things done in this community. Like:
Scholarships at 5 local high schools,
Interact Clubs at 3 local schools.
Support the YMCA, City Center, Ventura Botanical Gardens
Promote literacy and career guidance in schools
Internationally we support a huge project our club started called GoCare in Nicaragua and contribute to eliminating Polio worldwide.
The Rotary Club of Ventura-East meets Thursday noon to 1:30 at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura. Come and learn more about Rotary's humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in this community.
Wow, here we are in October already. Many things happening and lots of fun coming.
Thank you so much to all who donated to buy toiletries for the Ventura Homeless Shelter. I dropped off all the goodies on Wednesday and they were incredibly happy to get them.
Last week we tried the Breakout rooms in groups of 3 each for 10 minutes in the beginning of the meeting and everyone seemed to like the social time to catch up on each other’s lives. We will continue doing it every meeting. If you arrive late at the meeting please wait until I place you in a room.
This week we will hear from Mike Laplant and Elaine Himelfarg from the Ventura Fire Safe Council about how to keep our homes and business better prepared for a fire event.

October 15th – Zoom Game night meeting and a physical distant diner at a local restaurant
The family of Tom Hashbarger held a private, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Celebration of Life for Tom on September 12th and have recorded this celebration and would like to share it with members of the club.

TIME 100 recognized Funsho for his instrumental leadership and work with Rotary members and partners to achieve the eradication of wild polio in the African region.
