President's Message

Hello Rotarians and friends. Another week seems to have flown by and the holidays are truly right around the corner, although you would have a hard time proving it by the recent weather. Last weeks meeting was a great chance to find out a little more about the history of some of our members. Thank you all for sharing, and thank you and your family members for serving to help make this nation so great. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, this might be a great time to thank a person that you see in military uniform. If you see someone in line at Starbucks, or McDonalds, or??? Maybe pick up the cost of their coffee. What a nice feeling to be able to say “Thanks”.

As you all know, we will be dark this Thursday as we will be enjoying each other’s company at our “Social”. Vaquero Y Mar 435 E. Thompson at 5:30 is our destination. This is another great opportunity to sit, talk ad get to know our fellow (and lady) members on a little more personable level. This is also an opportunity to invite a guest that just might want to find out a little more about Rotary.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, don’t forget to order your pies from Stacy. Making life just a bit easier in the kitchen. I don’t think that there is an argument that Stacy’s pies are better that store bought. And with everyone getting together for Thanksgiving, what a great opportunity to talk about our Poinsettia plants. With only two weeks to go….Now is the time to place those orders.

Please sell those Poinsettia plants. We are actually helping our neighbors by offering them the opportunity to purchase them. They help decorate the home and office. They are the perfect gift for a neighbor or friend. They are affordable. They are delivered right to their door. They are not sitting on a ship waiting to be unloaded at the port. AND, people feel good about doing their part to help the community. Please don’t take that “FEEL GOOD” opportunity away from them.

I’m feeling like a salesman today. I apologize for that, but part of that is trying to make life a bit easier for those around us.
Thank you

Future programs are as follows.
  • Nov. 18 – Social  Vaquero Y Mar  (435 E. Thompson) 5:30
  • Nov. 25 – Happy Thanksgiving
  • Dec. 2 – Poinsettia plant delivery
  • Dec. 4 – More Poinsettia plans to deliver
Because of the increased number of the Covid variant infections being reported, we will have complimentary disposable masks, gloves, and sanitizer available for your convenience if desired.

Yours in Rotary
