We are a nonpolitical, nonsectarian social organization comprising local business, civic and professional leaders. We meet regularly to get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to solve community and global problems with service projects. Like:

Scholarships at 5 local high schools,
Interact Clubs at 3 local schools.
Support the YMCA, City Center, Ventura Botanical Gardens
Promote literacy and career guidance in schools
Internationally we support a medical project in Ethiopia and contribute to eliminating Polio worldwide.

The Rotary Club of Ventura-East meets Thursday noon to 1:30 at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura. Come and learn more about Rotary's humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in this community. Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference.

Time to make some ripples!!

This Thursday our program will be the Gold Coast Veterans Foundation, who’s vision is to create a
comprehensive system of care that will disrupt and defeat the chain of events that leads to negative
health and life outcomes for veterans. They will use direct intervention to address and resolve the root
causes and underlying problems before lives are damaged or lost.

Casino Night is coming!! Our Tri – Rotary Casino Night Fundraiser Event is September 9 th at the
Poinsettia Pavilion from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. I hope you have updated your calendar; I know I am looking
forward to the Casino Games, Food, Wine & Beer, Karaoke, and much more!! Get you tickets while
supplies last!!

The opportunity drawing today was donated by Cal Magro.

Tim Hughes will step in for President Jeff and our program will be Gold Coast Veterans.

Saturday September 9^th will the Tri-Club fundraiser to benefit Boys & Girls club.

October 9^th will be the Community Open House and Ribbon Cutting for the Ranch at Pacific High School

Margarida Eidson spoke about the District Conference and the Tri-Club Fundraiser.

Casino Night there will be 6 different caterers and Karaoke!

We will be testing out a texting program to help with communications. Let us know what you think about the program.

Joe Strohman spoke about an event with the Brain Injury Center and Midge Stork will be one of the honorees.

Tuesday will be the Foundation Board Meeting via Zoom
