Kathy McGee led us in the Flag Salute. Amber Landis-Stover gave our Inspirational Message. Our joke of the day was delivered by our President Harriet. President Harriet thanked Bill Spellman for greeting and Michelle Cekov for taking attendance. Midge Stork announced that our raffle prize was a $50 gift card to Marie Callendar's donated by Bob Noville. John Borneman led us in our song. Bruce McGee introduced guests and visiting Rotarians. Guest of Husam Hishmeh was Crhistine, guest of Joe Strohman was our Rotaract President Olivia Strohman, guest of Midge Stork was her daughter Susan and guest of Melody O'leary-Namikas was Kelly McGrath. Guest of the club was Adrienne Stephens from the Ventura Land Trust. Adrienne Stephens reported that the trees we planted last month are doing well and there will be another tree planting day on April 28th. Amber Landis-Stover spoke about Nashville Gal at the Rubicon Theater this weekend. Olivia Strohman reported that Rotaract is doing good. They did a project at the City Center at Easter for the children there. The enjoyed participating in the Tree Project with us. The next big project for Rotaract will be the Mexico build in November. President Harriet asked who would be interested in doing CPR Training. We had 14 people express interest so we will schedule this in the near future. President Harriet presented Joe Cahill, Ventura Botanical Gardens, with a check for our part of Rotary Plaza. |
